#Zallpy Interviews: Bruno Fuentes.

Bruno Fuentes arrived at Z in 2015 as an intern. Today, in addition to being a Senior Systems Analyst he serves as a technical team leader. We chatted with him to learn a little bit more about his trajectory.
“We were a group of 45 people, and our main customers were TKE and ADP. Today, 7 years later, we serve the likes of BMW, Ticket Log, and other giants in the market. Furthermore, Zallpy is not linked to just one type of business but serves various business sectors. It’s on an upwards trajectory, with very exponential growth. I identify a lot with Z in that sense, because both the company and I grew a lot in a short period.”
Bruno reflects on why Z grew so quickly in such a short period “Having the right people, in the right positions.” This, among others, is Z's competitive edge in the market. Developing talents in order to stimulate the growth and expansion of each person's best abilities is what guarantees the power to transform the world. After all, innovation is not just the result of technical knowledge, but of people who can articulate this knowledge toward a goal.
“...So, over those few years, it developed a lot and quickly. Looking back, I can see my growth. After six months I was hired full-time, one year later I’d already been promoted, and the next year I got another promotion. Every one to two years I manage to achieve a new position, some extra responsibility. Z has always given me a lot of opportunity to grow, and I’ve always grabbed that with both hands and we’ve grown together.”
In addition to the positions he occupies as a collaborator, Bruno has also been a mentor at #Academy, the training program for new talent. “It was an incredible challenge. I’m the type of person who likes talking a lot with people and explaining my point of view, so whenever there was a meeting I felt the need to articulate my ideas, and I did well. With that in mind, they invited me to mentor new hires. After that, I also started participating in the technical selection interviews.”
Understanding that each person is different and learns at their own pace and has their strengths and weaknesses is fundamental. As a mentor, his strategy for developing the talent he sees is to identify these characteristics. Above all, using continuous feedback and getting involved in the activities of his mentees, who are now his work colleagues, are also points to note for those who want to guide others.
“Even after the mentorship ended, I still continue to be a reference for the 2 interns I trained. We open meetings, share screens, and even program together.” Lucky for them, don’t you think?
That’s how it is at Z. We don’t only build teams; we build an ecosystem. Numerous life stories and professional experiences all interact, support, and complement each other to deliver unique, quality solutions.
